Has anyone taken the CAIA exam recently? Currently studying for lvl 1 but not too much commentary out there.

Good luck! Lvl 1 material is relatively formula heavy and even though most of the curriculum overlaps with the CFA material, try to focus on the “new/different” stuff that is in there

like

Thank you! It doesn’t seem extremely difficult but there is much less of a community out there so it’s hard to get a feel for how it will be.

like

Weirdly enough Reddit helped me a bit. I agree that practicing on the outliers/new stuff is your best bet. And focus on technique not all memorization. Do practice questions over taking loads of notes.

Did you buy any additional practice questions ? I have Wiley and I feel like there isn’t enough haha

Hello, I’ve been an LPN for 7 years and would like to work in a hospital setting now that they’re letting us back into med surg. But I can’t seem to land a job because I don’t have the 6 months of “acute care” experience. I’ve done tons of SNFs. And doctors offices. Any tips for how to be a stand out applicant? Also I’m in medical school now so I have a good knowledge base but it still isn’t getting me anywhere

So I’m trying to move into a TA manager role and having zero luck trying to get an interview with any company I apply. I have 11 years in Recruiting, 2 of which was managing a team of Recruiters at a large national staffing company. It seems impossible to make the move up. Anyone who has made that move, while switching companies, have any suggestions?

I started a new full-time job 3 months ago. My teammates only escalate small mistakes to my boss; I rarely get positive feedback on the things I go above and beyond on. I have a review coming up this week, and I don’t feel secure. A role that I applied to pre-covid became available. I got a verbal offer last week. Should I leave a full-time gig for a temp-perm one? I’ve killed myself to implement constructive feedback but I’m scared it wouldn’t be enough.

Considering pivoting into tech. Currently considering Project Management or Presales tech. I understand the general roles of each. Presales seem to make more than PM, so I am leaning towards presales. Curious if any PMs considered presales and why you decided to do Project management instead

I have the offer to help build an arm (it would be it’s own new identity) of a business I have worked for. I currently have no investment in this, but I want to bring up the idea of a stake somehow and not just help someone build another business of their own. I want to be part of it. I don’t have funds to invest, but I do have my skill set. I’d love advice on how to start this conversation and also the structure request. I don’t know where to start.
