How do you rank EY as a consulting firm? In comparison to mbb, other big4 and boutiques in terms of prestige?
To those that left for startups: how frequently have you discussed your personal growth at the company?
Been here a year now and haven’t had an annual review, no idea what growth structure looks like, or where they see me 3, 5 years from now.
The focus is obviously on company growth and getting through funding rounds, but not sure if this is par the course or if I should be concerned.
I am a pediatric occupational therapist with 4 years of experience. I currently work at a pediatric hospital in the Philadelphia area and make 71k. Is this a fair salary for someone with my experience? An annual review is coming up and I’m wondering what would be a fair range to negotiate?
Happy 2021, y’all! I’ve been told I’m getting promoted in January to an Account Supervisor and although I’m extremely grateful for the opportunity given the circumstances of 2020, I’ve been told it will be a few months before I see a raise. I’ve been with this agency for a collective 6 years but have had to boomerang to get a decent pay bump. Any tips on salary negotiation with the nuance of the hardships last year brought on us all and the ad industry?
Has anyone taken the CMU CISO Program? What are other similar or better alternatives? (Not looking for CISSP or CCISO type of certifications but actually learning sessions for cybersecurity executives)
How did you celebrate the new year?
Any suggestions on the appropriate way to leave private practice (litigation, if it matters) to go in-house without burning the bridge back to your old firm down the road? I’ve been told it’s difficult to do—particularly at my current firm.
What does it mean if I'm applying to a lot of jobs but not landing any interviews? Visually my resume is solid and I feel like I have enough experience for the positions just no interviews.
What’s pay for in-house position for a 5-7th year associate - Lit and employment. Obviously depends on company but generally, what are some of you making? I need to figure out if In house is the right move financially for me and my family.
Anyone board their dog in Chicago that has a better rate than $55 a night?
This is like 450 a month, trying to find something for around 40ish.
I am a newer associate observing my first deposition tomorrow (we're defending) - is there anything I can do during the deposition to assist the partner? Whether it be flagging discrepancies for him as I hear them, fwding him bates nos for info to counter the questions opposing counsel asks of our witness where possible, etc? I want to do more than just "watch," and I want the partner & our client to see me as an asset, not just another face on the VC - BUT I also don't want to be annoying, lol
Do the “extra curricular activities”, such as recruiting, facilitating trainings, talent initiatives, that we do in addition to our day jobs ultimately make a difference at year-end for pay and promo?
Is there a difference between the big four firms (WPP, IPG, OMD, Publicis)? Would love to get a convo going of pros and cons of each!! Even the subsidiaries under these big names
I’m working on setting up grading scales and expectations for next year. I teach 7/8 grade. I will have flexible seating and I’m working on more student centered learning (hyperdocs). Any ideas?
I’ve been at my current gig for 10+ years and feel that I need to make a move to continue to grow in tech. So in considering current company benefits of 10% 403b, emeritus health acct, BCBS ppo, work/life balance AND the need for a raise, how would you calculate TC to make a move worth it?
