My criteria: mesh seat and back, arms, headrest
I tried cheap ones from Amazon. Expensive, second hand gaming chairs. Tried HM Aeron (second hand) and while I didn't like the bulk and the general design, I was sold on the mesh seating. I wanted to get the ErgoChair 2 from autonomous, but it doesn't have mesh seat.

Yes, contractors have been hired in as official corporate employees many times. However, the companies that contract don’t always follow the same Apple policies or approach and make it harder for their ‘employees’, to follow Apple policies.
I have a few times - my experience is varied. It’s ok, you do get treated differently. They do sometimes hire full time but I think Apple have to post the job up and interview you like everyone else. FT head count is also pretty reduced at the moment but will probably depend on the org and location.
I started as a contractor and was able to apply to a full time role to be converted before my
Contract was up. It will depend on whether full time headcount opens in order for you to convert. I have seen plenty of great contractors not get the opportunity simply bc no full time roles opened. And I e seen plenty get the opportunity. It comes down to timing mostly.
