How does your company manages HR or team building activities in WFH model ? is it effective in refreshing you or team culture ? Or is it just an extra overhead now ?

I feel it was a good break/refresh when at office but now it really feels just an extra overhead siting on desk pretending to have fun when you can ACTUALLY have rest/fun by just taking break for that time and instead interact with people around yourself AT Home. Feels more refreshing.

Currently working at Perforce Software in Minneapolis as a writer making 70k. Was offered a job to be a writer at Amazon Alexa for 95k plus 11k sign on and shares.

Here’s the catch: the job was listed as fully remote but now they’re asking if I’d want to move out on the West Coast…not a requirement but they really sound like that’s their ideal.

Can I ask them for full wfh ? I know for first day induction i should go to office but since they're not providing any relocation allowance can I ask them to provide full wfh and change of base location to Chennai?? How many billable hours per week is considered at capacity? I’m getting pushback on boundaries I’m setting about additional matters and marketing work from my firm when I’ve been billing 60-75 hours per week for the last 6 weeks, and I’m still behind on my work. I feel like it’s reasonable to not kill myself further to fit in more/turn things around faster at this point, but am I being unreasonable? I expect my workload to remain at this level through the end of the year at least.

Don't you think it's high time ppl start calculating in hand salary and how much % hike to ask n all?? I feel that's immatured behaviour when few of them ask these questions 😐
