Have a question to ask since most people in this bowl are in senior roles. In most companies, the work pressure and load sort of build up before everyone breaks off for the holidays. Were you able to enjoy holidays better in a junior/ entry-level role or in your current role? I was thinking about it last night and for me, I think I was much more stress-free and had more time than I do now, even though my actual workload is lower. Is that weird? Or do others have the same problem?

I’ve always gotten the advice that when you want to switch jobs you should take interviews from places you’re not actually interested in, so you can understand your value in the market and have better negotiating power.

I’m doing that rn - took a couple interviews to gauge my skills, my market value, and see what I need to work on for interviews that I actually care about.

However, I feel really guilty about wasting their time and going all the way knowing I’ll just say no at the end. Wwyd?
