The experience is pretty much similar to generalist of you join as C level ( consultant ) . But depends - e.g. you might have longer periods of being unstaffed = better wlb
Interview process involves cases, behavioral is focused on the function / industry you join as an expert in
BCG1 is correct. Lower level ECT is fairly similar in role. As you climb your role can morph into almost anything you want it to be if you are good at it.
Comp is same, but tops out just above $1M. If you are truly uniquely awesome (lets say top 10% of experts) at your role you can pretty much call your shots (eg what you work on, what you do, and how much you do of it) so you have better WLB than anyone in the firm. If you are bad at it then you are a bit left out of the party.
