Hi guys, I need a suggestion.
I am very new to devops domain like only 6 month of theoretical knowledge and i got offer pf a tech lead role in a company so will i be able to survive ? Will this 6 month knowledge with less hand-on is sufficient to survive or should i choose lesser profile first and try to learn and then try for higher role as tech lead? Guys who are working in devops domain please help me to understand that how is the work load in devops?

Happened to me once, my boss tracked down my new manager and sent a scathing email. I had to have an awkward convo with my new boss but thankfully the email was so exaggerated it was easy to disprove
How can he burn you? You already got the offer
If she/he is toxic - probably already has a bad reputation. Nothing to worry about. It’s an open market and in cut throat industries that is the norm. I’ve had a lot of bad bosses and their threats were nothing more than threats. People look insane sending smack to your future employer and often their reputations are known in the industry. It’s a small world.
Keep evidence of all communication with the boss. When you resign, secretly record the conversation, assuming your applicable state laws support single party permissions. If they make any threats to your career or reputation, consider taking it to an employment attorney for either a lawsuit or a cease & desist letter. Don’t make the mistake of telling your company where you’re going to work. And no social media job updates for 2 months into your new role. For LinkedIn, update your end date but do not add your new company with start date for 2 mos. For other social media, no identifying job comments that can be poached.
Could always just lie and say you’re going back to school to pursue a completely different career too (like medicine)... nobody is going to call a school to confirm you’re enrolled 😉.
