yeah was getting bullied by my manager as a new grad. my preceptor was always saying in meetings im doing great. got signed off. worked 2-3 months and manager, who never saw me work btw, said i had behavioral issues and wasnt doing good. was always complimented by pts and families, always had these thank you cards the hospital provides for pts to write for any staff. i quit shortly after. if they want you gone itll happen. was way too toxic for me there anyway. came to find out from my coworker that the manager didnt like me because i looked like her baby daddy and she couldnt shake it
I haven’t. Had to do it for one of my employees and she did not make it. Resigned a few weeks later
Nope. Been doing this a very long time, some companies had annual "employe evaluations". Even those were ridiculous (IMHO).
PIP? Not really enough info to be sure, but seems to me, as if they're taking steps to be rid of you. I'd update my resume, keep your hard down, keep working as well as you're able under these stressful situations, Start seeking employment elsewhere (and do whatever you're able to avoid their "PIP". If you must, I believe you can legally refuse to sign it, Have a letter ready, along with your employers job description).
I’ve been leading teams for many years and have given out PIPs over the yrs. I’ve seen many people who bounce back and take the PIP as a learning experience but many do not and it doesn’t work out. It depends on the leadership and the person receiving the PIP. If your leader seems supportive and you are willing to be positive and improve then yes you can bounce back
