Have you or anyone you know recently traveled into the US with a temporary/emergency passport?

Context - German passport holder currently traveling overseas. The bio page popped out the passport - being told this won't be accepted at Port of entry. German consulate can only provide a temporary/emergency passport in 2 days. The replacement one takes 3-6 weeks.

From googling this, seems like the temporary passport wont be accepted for visa free travel, but okay with visa

Similar role, both are good teams, etc. Do I politely decline and see my GC process through or accept and get more money? Feel like current employer will drag their feet as long as they can for retention purposes.

My Dropbox processing status changes from "administrative processing" to "issued" today. From experience, any idea when the passport will be sent to/be available at the Dropbox location?
