I feel for the jr’s who have started their careers in this remote world, missing out on all the experience that comes with being in an office surrounded by people and creative work instead of the silo of WFH. Any suggestions on how to keep them engaged and learning without it feeling forced with zoom tutorial sessions?
How do I set up Skype for business so that I can ping my friends at other companies that use Skype? Please respond :)
Anyone have a great CFP that works with folks remotely (I.e., via Skype or FaceTime) or in Boston? Looking to learn about the unknown, e.g., tax loss harvesting, 529s and other similar vehicles, etc
I had six hours worth of Zoom interviews with an AmLaw100 firm on Monday and Tuesday last week. I haven’t heard back on anything yet - when is “too” long to have not heard back and when should I reach out to their in-house recruiter for some kind of update?
Do Feds really not know we can see their Skype status that they have been away from their computer for 8 hrs on their telework day?
I was having IT issues when my firm migrated to Microsoft teams. I was getting help and they took control to do their trouble shooting. After fixing the issue, he suddenly video called himself to test it all works. I was laying in bed naked when the cam turned on 💀
It's kinda bullshit that a lot of us worked hard to get into consulting and now have to deal with layoffs. While others are enjoying safe decent paying jobs even though they slack off.
When you and your manager randomly geek out about VR over Skype instead of finishing up a deliverable - Friday's, am I right? 😎
When you always dial into Skype calls because of a broken computer and everyone thinks you're sus :(
Anyone has experience working at zoom?
Can anyone provide insight into customer success at Slack? I see a roles that might be a good fit but don’t want to just be a customer service rep.
Any advice for lateraling during COVID? I’m starting at a new firm in January (3rd year, big law) and am anxious about getting to know people via Zoom that I’ve never met in person. I want to connect with people and impress them but I worry that my new colleagues won’t take as much of an interest in the career of someone they’ve only met virtually. Any tips (even just on lateraling in general) would be greatly appreciated! How can I make myself an integral part of the team?
2021 Headwinds and Tailwinds. What are the thoughts as the fiscal year closes out? I'm seeing 2021 as likely more punishing given the lack of visibility and the fact we may have diminished economic activity for 2 to 3 quarters. I have little visibility into how comp will be impacted but can only imagine lots of early retirement zoom parties. Thoughts?
I am a level 3 counselling student. Please note that means their are limitations to my work, there is a supervisor to support me. I was wondering if anyone would like to meet via zoom for a 4-6 week session of 30 minute helping sessions? It's free, and it is confidential. I am a woman, 30, and obviously in advertising.
Bit the bullet and bought a dyson airwrap. Here’s hoping for less time to look fab on those zoom calls 😅 any tips?

Is it weird that minutes after getting an offer from a Big 4, the office managing partner is inviting you out for coffee and top golf? I hadn’t even read the offer letter yet 🤣 Are audit seniors needed this badly?
I work as a quant/associate at a large (>300 billion aum) long only mutual fund. Ive been here for about a year, but seeing how crazy the job market is, I’m wondering if I should put feelers out again. I like my coworkers and I work good hours. I get 110k as base, and got a 10k sign-on bonus. They said min bonus is 15k, but I’m not sure what the range is as I haven’t been around for a bonus cycle. This in a HCOL city. I also get 30% match in my retirement accounts. I have ~2 YOE. Thoughts?
If I received the Haas “Your Berkeley Haas Application is Complete” email a couple of weeks ago and haven’t received an interview invite yet… does that mean I got dinged?
Would anyone from MBB be willing to chat with me about mining / energy / infrastructure projects within his or her firm? Thank you!
I have a H1B visa (valid until Sep 2022) but I recently quit my job in the US and moved to Canada on PR. I’m currently planning a trip with a flight stop in NYC. Do I need to apply for a C visa to transit through the US or am I good since my H1 visa is valid?
HR onboarding position at Cepheid(biotech) in Newark or Talent Sourcer with TikTok in Mountain View. I don’t mind the drive to Newark because it’s only two days a week guaranteed for the long term for New Hire Orientation. Which position has more long term career growth opportunities? Both start @of as contract and convert to FTE based on performance. I need an answer by Sunday. Any advice helps!!! Thanks guys! TikTok

With both me & my wife working it’s kinda difficult handling one kid, is it a good idea to go for another one?
Directors - I'm interviewing for a director role next week and re-reading the description realize it's possibly an individual contributor role, which would be disappointing. Do you have a team or are you the doer? Product management if that matters.
Just had a call with a group of analysts with first names like Jackson, Lincoln, Dempsey, Hudson, Hunter, and Kennedy. If you're having kids soon, I hope you'll help make this the generation that stops giving their children last names as first names. No child deserves this.

I’ve never been unintelligent, but does anyone else feel manipulated to think so by leadership? It almost feels like a sick game how leadership talks down to AEs...
What are the exit opportunities for directors and SMs that have been working on Salesforce projects?
Thoughts on exiting at a lateral level to the industry? Found an interesting strategy role and am in touch with the hiring team. However title is same as my current one (Sr. Associate). I know this title thing sounds superficial but wanted to get other fish’s thoughts on this 🙏
