Hoping for candid advice to get exceptional ratings. I want to apply to GSAP in 2 years and am curious if anyone had concrete advice of getting exceptional ratings besides making sure to work hard and take on responsibility. I.e. did you talk to your manager and ask if you’d receive an exceptional rating? Do you need to talk to a partner about that? Do extra and consistent “market” initiatives for partners and SMs you do client work with help you get the exceptional for client?

What does everyone think about metabolism? Is it just you’re TDEE? Can you “speed it up”?

Has anyone gone so far as to splurge on a tier 1 office chair like the Steelcase Gesture? If so, your honest feedback/review would be appreciated.

My logic is if I spend so much of my typical work week sitting on a chair, why not go the extra mile and make it something comfortable and good for posture. Also, the cheaper chairs seem always to wear down faster than anticipated.

What are your thoughts about an analyst considering to ask for a relocation to a different city in the same group? Is it a typical request? I am in the Midwest at an MM bank and curious to know your opinions whether this is a no go. Thank you!

What is the best way to ask clients for relevant email correspondence when credibility is at issue? I feel like most clients have no idea what is “relevant” and often fail to disclose important emails to their lawyers. Are there firms that ask for the email password and have support staff go through all correspondence with a fine tooth comb?
