Hello All, Ive been working in this firm in NYC as a Junior Architect for 2 years, And last year they did not give me a raise and a bonus, I later came to know even people who joined 2 weeks before the holidays got a small bonus as a gratitude. But i wasn't given anything. I waited till this year and they gave me 3% hike and 1000 bonus (which is same as what newbies get as a gratitude). Im not sure if this is something i have to feel normal or Its time for me to find a new firm.Can anyone advice

i have an offer of X amount from jp morgan and x+ 3.5L from Mphasis, my joining is within a week, I asked counter offer from HR, she said we will look if there is any backup candidate to fill that position then we will not do counter and it will impact my DOJ also since offer approval process takes around 2 weeks. should i wait or should i join on my current doj. and also if i will wait will they give me another doj on my current compenstion or they will revoke the offer past doj?

Been working as an Assistant Technician for 3 years (2 years excluding pandemic) pay is £21k now £22 adjusted for inflation. I will be completing my Part 1 in architecture but also have a degree in Technology, should I find a different company after graduation or take roles offering £30-45k as an Architectural Technologist/Technician.

I’m curious to know if anyone has experience working part-time in architecture? I have been working for large international firms in NYC for the past 10 years. So I work all day every day. My evenings and often the weekends are all absorbed by work duties. Working part-time would allow me to find a better balance, and carve out space for side gigs and eventually start my own firm. Any recommendations?
