It's that administrator's job to deal with this, not yours or any other teacher's. What would happen if you told the admin how distracting this is for you and your students? Would they deal with it then? Or you may have to go above their head and complain to other higher ups...This teacher should not be allowed to continue yelling like that at kids.
That is a tough one, shouldn’t be but is. Those yellers are typically intense in all areas of their lives and so admin may need to buck up and coach up or out for the betterment of the team and definitely the kids. I would encourage you to say something to your colleague, maybe record it so she can hear herself and then if that doesn’t work insist your admin. support your team by addressing it based on the expectations of your team. As a colleague though, you should feel comfortable and know the importance of the role you play in holding team members accountable. That person may think they are fine if they haven’t heard concerns brought to them by colleagues.
