Be in the same company. Plan pregnancy, extend maternity leave for for 6-7 months, do some courses and then switch
I think stay in same company as this doubt I also had ,you can manage things better in old company since pregnancy itself is a ride and sometimes you feel energy deprived and some days you feel little uneasy to work ,hence during this beautiful time you should focus on your health and baby's health and once your baby is born ,you will get maternity leave also and then after 3 months of your maternity leave you can hire a nanny and prepare for 2 -3 months and then look for switch because you will never ever be able to give justice to your new role if it more demanding and your impression would not be good if you will take leaves right after few months of joining .
Be in same company
If you switch within early pregnancy or before pregnancy, it would be a great idea. Make sure to complete 180 days from joining a new company for availing maternity benefits from new company
My perspective is stay in same company. Then later switch after 6 months. After baby is born we are in new mom phase and everything will be new. You would have stability on job side.
And not to compromise on job side, you can prepare in the 9 months of pregannacy, and 6 months maternity not extensively but consistenly daily.
If pregnancy planing takes time. Then you can do either way.
But for pregnancy early is better.
All the best!
As per experience it is really tough to change once baby is born.. change this month or next month see you enter in a permenant role if you plan from now.. you can get the results in next 6 months.. you can work for another 7 to 8 months and then take maternity leave...
