Hey,
Is it a good idea to join Paypal for Software Engineer III from Walmart Software Engineer III, for the base salary of 35LPA and 9L RSUs per year for Chennai location ? I am currently withdrawing 24LPA as base and 4.2 as Variable and 3.5L RSUs vested for 4 years.
I have been told that I'll be part of Risk team under Paypal Transactions domain. Any Idea how is the work culture and tech stack here in this team?

Got a random email from a supposed Amazon recruiter for a SDE position (which is not at all a fit). GT cases are not hard. They are interviewer driven and have 1-2 exhibits. The format for D level will likely be more conversational than "what's the gross margin". You may be asked how you should structure and staff a project.
I disagree with GT1's sweatshop culture comment (less stressful culture than big 4), but I agree that half the strategy practice works on program management and staff aug for 1 client. However, that's mostly an issue for M and below levels, as director, they want you to help land new accounts, not farm an existing diamond client.
What you should ask about is the revolving door of directors and senior managers (they are the same level, just MD track vs equity principal track). The strategy practice has seen several get hired and last barely a year over the past 4 years. I don't think any of the directors in the practice today are homegrown, and maybe only 3 senior managers, but that could change when promotions are made public on August 2.
