What's the salary range for a director at the Gilead Sciences foundation? There is a position perfect for me, but I don't want to throw my hat in the ring if starting salary isn't $180-190k. Also, any thoughts on the stability of their philanthropic commitment? There's talk of a recession; I don't want to go private to be cute a few months later.

I wonder if any care about what system using qwerty, dvorac, etc. Devorac much faster once used to it also, everything can be talk to text, though likely not going to be fast.
However only qwerty is supported on most systems. It is likely the slowest system to use...
Speed should not matter, quality of content should be, especially when slow to create, ideas flow when they flow.
Similar to requirements for education like BS, MS, or PhD are obsolete.
How many of those can actually compete with professional certs that are much faster and easier to obtain and more importantly infinitely more valuable over time.
Too much emphasis on things of low value, no value, or a waste of time. Time is the only thing of real value...
I didn't know that was still a thing either. It seems wildly outdated since computers are hardly new technology for this generation of employees. I'd just Google "typing test online" and send a screenshot of your WPM.
Right, I am still baffled. Thank you for responding.
Hi there, if you reach out to the local community college in your area they should have that resource available. Depending on the jobs requirement you may need the certificate to be validated/verified or in others words officially stamped by the school. Good luck! ☺️
Hi, I thought of it too, but none of the local colleges in my area provide certification anymore. Their response aligns with everyone else's - a too outdated requirement to be feasible (ready profitable) for colleges to implement it. Thank you for your response. Appreciate it.
I've known of jobs where typing tests are given, but I wasn't aware you could get certified for typing. I got a typing textbook as a teenager and taught myself, and I took a typing test at a summer job and passed. I assume in some positions it would be a requirement, a lot of material needs to be input.
I am unsure of the volume, but same here. I was a teenager the last time I got tested for typing. Thank you for your input.
Whenever I have to show my typing speed, I just do one of those online programs that calculates your words per minute. I don't know anyone who actually needs a certification these days.
Interesting. Would you be willing to share which online programs did you use? Thank you.
