What’s a fair expectation for my first raise? Publicly traded co with ~2500 employees. I’ve been doing litigation with the company for almost 3 yrs and have only had a 2% cost of living raise so far. Working on a regular desk and my laptop has been killing my back and neck for last few years. Finally spent a couple hundred dollars on a standing desk, wireless keyboard, and back/neck heating pad to alleviate the pain. Very hopeful working will be much better now.

I’m seriously enatkng to get into an SE role and have been searching for Associate Sales Engineers that do NOT require SE experience since I’ve none. It’s proving to be difficult. Most companies for some reason are requiring 2-3 years of experience for the Associate role. 😭 Any Sales Engineers who know of companies hiring those with no experience? I am in tech as a BDR already.

The president of the company, the original owner, the financial money partner, the third party manager? Everyone seems to have a voice, but the main contact is the underling gathering and offering their own opinion, which strangely seems to be the most on point. I have been offered an internship for Equity Research role for 2 months. Based on my performance, I'll be on boarded full time. However, they are not letting me know the salary range I can expect once the internship ends. How can I negotiate a salary as per my expectations?

3 Things to keep in mind which changing jobs:
1. Always ask dedicated budget for the job before you tell your expectations.

2. Always have atleast 2 weeks of gap before you join any company. You might not understand significance of that but just have a gap.

3. Always talk to people of team you will be joining before you accept offer or atleast before you join company.
