I am a financial analyst at a Indian MNC Manufacturing firm, where I have gained valuable experience in preparing and interpreting financial statements. Additionally, I have worked on DCF valuations alongside my primary responsibilities.

I’m now looking to start my career as an equity research analyst at a good firm where I can get to learn a lot.

For those of you who got out at 10, do you wish that you rode it out to 20? I’m at a crossroad and I’m not sure what to do. Have some active/reserve time, wrapping up graduate school, and am now considering either a) come back to the business world or b) go active and retire before 50 and live off a nice pension. Obviously there are draws to both. I’m an officer for what it’s worth so I can realistically retire at O-5, MAYBE O-6.

Question : I want to change career from a support engineer to sales. Is that possible ? I have 4 YoE in technical support and want to change to sales.
Any ideas where to start, and what positions I should be looking for given I have not worked sales before ?

Currently scheduling “on sites” for a S&O role in CA. My referrer said they can hire as L5 or L6. Would like to land in the L6 bucket as I’ve heard 5 --> 6 is one of the more challenging promotions.

I’m looking for info on what the real difference is in responsibilities (manager vs IC, cross functional vs focused, etc) so I can focus on checking the L6 boxes during my interviews.
