Hello everyone, I interviewed with Grant Thornton India last week, and it seemed to go smoothly, yet I've heard nothing back from HR since. I've followed up via email and phone, but still no reply. Typically, how long does it take for a response, or do they simply not notify if you're not selected? I'd greatly value your insights, as I've been out of work for several months now. What type of case studies are people getting when interviewing for Strategy roles? How about Finance? Are they the same style/depth as consulting case studies? Are the examples from as "Case in Point" or "Hacking the Case" a good representation? Going to start applying in the next month or two and want to brush up on my skills.

I’m trying to pivot to PM after >3 years in finance and I have a 2nd round interview with CPO this week. Company has 3.7 on Glassdoor with complaints about CEO, “bro-y” culture, and hard to wfh. It’s a data analytics company with 5 PMs, was bought by a PE firm this year, and has a new (female) CEO as of Oct. Role is 50/50 hybrid, pays well vs what I make, and most importantly would be a foot in the door to PM. Is this a good place to be for PM? What else do I need to find out to know for sure?

I'm holding an offer from MakeMyTrip and another offer from OlaElectric. Ninjacart is willing to make me an offer. But they're saying that they'd discuss the offer only after the other company that I'm interviewing with has come up with an offer first. There's been a delay from HRs of the companies in a similar way. How do I urge them to send me the offer letter without sounding pushy? I had reached out to some of the HRs myself. Would that be too awkward if I accept & back out their offer?

Is it common to negotiate software engineer salary at smaller companies? I know it’s common at FAANG, but what about for companies with around 200 engineers? I have a counter offer from my current company and on-site interviews scheduled for end of July with google and Amazon, but I’d prefer to go with the smaller local company if I can negotiate the salary (from offer letter) up another 5% or so.

Had a good phone interview on Monday, followed to that night with a thank you email (& some info he asked me to send over.) And... crickets. Do I wait another day to send another email? So antsy...
