Hello everyone, new to group and excited to have others to bounce ideas off of and get advice for. I am the only PE teacher at my school so it should be great!

New myself and just finished my first year teaching PE after leaving the classroom teaching anywhere from Prek to 2nd. Would love to get others on board to toss around creative lessons!

Anyone have kids and truly regret it?

Maybe your kids turned out to be little shits or it took a toll on your health/finances/marriage/retirement plans/etc.

Not looking to hear about how great your kids are.

Currently on MBA and rejoining an MBB in the US (after working in Europe for same firm before MBA). I'm eligible for 3 years (STEM) OPT, L1, and EB1c sponsorship after 1 year working in the US.

3 options for right now:
1) Apply for H1b; if unsuccessful apply for L1 (L1 option expires EOY) > EB1c
2) Apply for L1 > EB1c
3) Apply for H1b, if unsuccessful keep trying while on 3 years OPT (STEM) > EB1c

Any thoughts on what option would be advisable? Currently thinking to go for option 3.

Would it be wrong to tell my team that “40 hours (chargeable+non charge) is my physical limit and all I can give right now”? Given that they know I’m pregnant. I worked 70 hours this past week and it’s looking like there are more to come. I want to wrap up what I have (so probably a couple more OT weeks) and start setting more boundaries. Is that reasonable? I don’t want to sound like “I’m pregnant and I need special treatment”, but I simply do not have more in me physically.

How much do you value WFH as a benefit? In terms of monetary value, I’m saving on gas every day, and have no commute, but I still have a car so l can get around and do things in my free time.

I’m on 45k + ~20k bonus, but market rate for my position in this area is 65k + bonus of 15-30k. Am I best off with WFH from a pure quality of life perspective?

I have OC who’s being very non commutative on a case. Went to court for an extension instead of asking, now we have to do our discovery plan and I’d like to do a joint one. But OC hasn’t responded to my email. Any tips? We’ve never had a call nor has he responded to me via email to set one up.

I don’t need to be recognized for my work. You can either give me props or you don’t have to. But recognizing someone else for my work sets me on fire🔥. Is there a term for this? I need tools to help me calm down in these situations. I have the same reaction for other people and their work.

Hi Everyone!

Not that I am planning to relocate anytime soon but wanted to have your thoughts on which country you think is a safer option to relocate to?
Earlier I was interested to move somewhere in Europe but with the whole Russia and Ukraine situation and now possibility of Sweden and Finland joining NATO and Russia telling them not to, I don't think Europe might be a good option in the coming years.
Feel free to correct me if I am wrong.
