Does anyone have an idea about the time it takes to process work visa for Montreal, Canada?

A little thrown off: hiring manager reached out on linkedin asking if I'd be interested in a role. I obviously thought first would be a recruiter screening but turned out it was a zoom interview with the HM herself. I was not prepared at all, had only prepped for basic HR/why this company questions. Longest half hour in my life. At the end she asked me the typical HR/visa/salary req q's as well, it seems like she is doing everything for recruiting. Is this bizarre or just me

My Android career is in a good shape in India. My parents are considering a marriage alliance with an NRI who is a Civil engineer in Texas. If I move with him by leaving my current job, what are my job prospects in Texas? How long does it usually take to get work visa and how easy/tough is it to get a job there considering I have 6+ years of experience in the field?

I'm a Canadian on the TN visa working in the US and planning on maxing my Roth IRA (6k) and will have enough left to max my 401k this year, but am not sure if I should just use a taxable account over 401k due to tax considerations when I move back to Canada (likely 1-2 years from now). Any thoughts here? I don't think I'll have enough RRSP room to move 401k>IRA>RRSP and I would prefer to not have to file US taxes every year in retirement for withdrawls if I left the 401k in the US.

This is regarding Visa Appointment for Germany - in VFS.
My visa expiry is June 2023 , whereas my Appointment to consulate is July 2022. I am going to renew my visa now but for my appointment I had given my current passport number and for appointment I need to carry the renewed passport(Which will have new Passport Number) , please help if this will be an issue?? Will I be asked to book a new appointment with renewed Visa and passport number ?? anyone faced similar situation??

I'm working in the US under H1B, I got a chance to face an interview for another company. My current company started the PERM application also and results will be out within the next 3 months. Wanted to bring out that staff-1's are paid peanuts (3.33L CTC) please don't expect them to slog 12-13 hours. They don't have enough motivation or incentives to work that long. Seniors,AM's and Managers should be more kind and explain the work to them clearly rather than making last minute changes.
