Hello, I had interviewed for a couple of positions during the past 6 months. Had gone through to the final rounds on both and believed I was in contention but did not get the jobs. This week I was reached out by recruiters for the same positions and I have expressed my interest to them but none have responded this far
Is it still a good idea to reach out directly to the hiring managers and is there a chance they may still be interested?

So I posted on LinkedIn that our firm was hiring, and a friend responded asking for a referral. They are a great person and friend, but an awful worker…what would you do here? I don’t want to be an a$$hole but I also don’t feel good about putting my reputation on the line by referring them.

Thoughts on Wealth Management as an industry? Offered a role to work under a senior FA and eventually take over the book (~$800M AUM and growing). It sounds great, but I am worried about the disruption this industry is facing with Robo advisors and other low cost, DIY options.
