Hello, I have an interview for a risk audit associate at the tampa acceleration center PwC. I have heard mixed things about the acceleration center and was wondering if any one could clarify. Is the risk audit associate consider an associate or specialist? And is pay similar to associate and follows the same promotion pattern, 3 years to senior then so on. I understand the acceleration center is bad but I'm just trying to understand what I applied for and will be interviewing for. Thanks!

RUN, don’t walk away. As someone that came from a Delivery Center it’s a very different career path. With different time lines, expectations, ans opportunities for promotion. Pay will also be lower

like

As an associate after 2yrs it was 55k

It is not the same promotion pattern. You would start as a specialist then associate. Much harder to make senior associate. It will be hard for you to come to core if not impossible. Your pay will be a lot lower. You will be used for what can be outsourced and most likely will not interact with the clients. This is how we lower our price. However you don’t have to travel as much and you most likely would have a better work life balance.

I would say if it says associate it’s associate.

Yes it could be. If you have no other offer go for it.

Currently in the US but interviewing for a UK-based firm and role. The comp level they are throwing around is £250k TC. Is this reasonable for a Director-level role with 12 YOE? My comparator would be wait 18-24mo to become a consulting partner - in the US that starts at $450k/£325k. For the purposes of this question, assume I’m optimizing for initial comp, not long term potential, and not livability, Intl experience, WLB, CoL etc. Thanks!

I live in a HCOL city and am still not being paid enough to save/live . I have all of the tools/ skill sets to leave consulting and go into big tech . Before going out to market myself and get a new job should I even ask D for a raise ? I’m frustrated because I’m adding a lot of value to my current engagements and I think I’d have a good business case for a raise. On a side note I see people leaving left and right here which is not a good sign!
