Just got rejection from BCG for SA position (PIPE) at CV screening stage. Have 3.5 years of CDD experience and a master from the UK. Had a PL referral who is working in PIPE (London). PL told me I have a great CV but still did not get the interview.
Not sure what to do. Super disappointed :(

LBS is by far the top feeder in terms of UK business schools for BCG. Despite heavy oxbridge entry level (associate) hiring only a minority come from oxbridge MBAs
That doesn’t come as a surprise, the Oxbridge MBA programme isn’t ranked highly vs LBS
I’d say unlikely to get into Top 5 strategy houses. You may have better luck with the boutiques and more so with Big4. Especially now with Covid, firms are being extra picky.
Agree. My experience of B4 is relatively uni-blind. They care more for your experience and skills than where you went to school
Realistically <1%.
There’s probably still time to switch to a better school. Go top 10 or just don’t go
If you must be UK then for MBAs it's LBS - airgap - Oxford / Cambridge - airgap - Warwick, Manchester, Imperial, Cass (or whatever it's changing to) etc. I've not heard of yours, and I looked around a lot before choosing mine. So manage your expectations accordingly.
Earlier I saw many posts that usually prefer Oxbridge and sometimes Imperial from the UK. From US M7. Though not sure as this is only what I‘ve read.
I know an Associate in my office who went to Hult
Anecdotal evidence suggests it's extremely hard to get in MBB London office unless you have Oxbridge - not unrealistic, but really hard.
I studied at LBS MiM program (top MiM program in the UK and top 3 internationally) and we had 0 going to London office, while around ~30-40 people got MBB in other offices worldwide (out of ~200)
