Hello. I’ve been in banking for almost 2 years now and I have 6 years of experience in sales and customer service, I also have the 2-14 and Notary license.
I’ve had great results in my current position but I don’t feel the recognition from my superiors, even though I help with everything and literally everyone asks me questions about processes( they are in the company for at least 10 yrs) they leave the customers that require more work and troubleshooting to me.

I feel like I work a lot even though my location it’s not busy and I feel stressed about the attitude of my coworkers and manager. I think it will be difficult to escalate in the company if your manager it’s not interested in his job and it’s never at the branch and you don’t get any recognition. I try to give good impressions in workshops and meetings when I see the higher managers, but I see people that work for less time in the company that have already been promoted. I see the numbers and I been doing really good. And I see how other managers give recognition to their teams.

On top of this I’ve been struggling financially, my salary it’s 50k plus bonus and I’ve been thinking on trying to move to another company and see if I get a better offer and career opportunity.
Can you advise, what is a good company to work for? Good benefits and staring pay?
Thank you so much in advance

It sounds like you have a ton of great experience. I would look at reviews of companies online and find good companies to apply at that way. Those reviews are usually pretty accurate.

I work for a finance company as a broker make good money as a 1099 and get shares in the company. The only down size is the benefits but my husband job takes care of that. If your interested about the job let me know we have a few position open.

Just out of curiosity, have you ever started a new job and thought what the hell am I getting myself into?!?
If it was the wrong fit how long did you grin and bear it? 6 months / 1 year / longer?
Did it get better with time or worse? (For instance just a case of lack of know-how)
If you left did you find securing a new job difficult due to only being there for so little time?

Wondering what people think about my situation. I’ve been offered a role with a company. The job description didn’t mention college degree as a requirement. On my CV I have a section listed as “Education” and under it I have “Business Studies” with the university name and the 3 years that I attended the course (2.5 to be exact). It’s a 4 year degree and under this I have my High School equivalent with the years I attended there. The education wasn’t mentioned in the interviews. Continued below.

Is there such things as FP&A positions in Big 4? If so, are there better times to make the change than others (I.e. at senior vs manager)? My current company and many others I know about do not offer the mobility to do so until much later, which is not what I want. Thank you.
