For a large open space, you’re better off using a neutral color and bringing color to the room with rugs, artwork, upholstered furniture, and other decor. Some suggestions: Benjamin Moore’s Gentle Cream or Elephant Tusk, or Sherwin Williams’ Greek Villa. All are warm-toned white/ivory shades that make a great backdrop for any other colors you want to bring in. Both companies make peel & stick paint samples that you can order online. That makes it easy to move them around in the room so you can see how they look on different walls /at different times of the day/with different light. Important note - when using light-colored paint, always use the eggshell finish (not matte or flat), so you get the right amount of light absorption.
Thanks! This is great information…
So Cal coastal paint schemes are really well done and established, so start your search by googling that
Thanks, will do!
Depends on the house. Buy small paints of like 3 - 6 colors u like and paint splashes on the wall. See what you like after a couple days.
