I had an interview with Cognizant and then got an email from HR to fill in CIS form and also along with to send all the documents. After i send all those details i got an email saying the position went on hold and to wait until they revert.
Any idea that how much time it would take for the position to be released? They did not respond when i asked the same question.

With or without OT? Starting pay for federal officers is pretty much on the web. Mine was 64k with locality
LEO1 , no GL or GS for us . I think that's a huge reason a lot want to switch to SA. DMV area
Pro
65k is about right for starting out with no police experience. Lots of departments offering crazy hiring bonuses rn tho. Ours offers $15k.
Wow that's a nice bonus, Our department doesn't have a bonus. But we just got a contract for 64k so that's not bad Ig with the unlimited OT we have!
Just got back into a local agency when I started in 2016 I made 38,000. With this new agency they started me at 61,000.
That’s not bad her in MI with my agency I start off at 64k but we do have another agency by the name of Eastpoint that starts officers off at 75k-80k.
115k not including overtime here in the Bay Area
For starting officers ? With no experience or with ?
I just retired from a medium sized agency (450 officers and 750 total employees) in Texas just north of Dallas. We top out in 36 months right at 100k without overtime. I was making $135 with overtime.
Wow that’s incredible, “medium sized agency” sounded to me like 50 like we have here in MI, thought the agency I was going to was big since we have 125 officers lol
6 years in, I make 75k with 10% off incentives so I make 68kish base in northern AL, USA.
I’m with the Feds so different pay system. But, my brother is applying to an agency in the Chicago area, and the pay is just north of $100k starting, before overtime.
May I just start out and say money is NOT everything. Please do ride alongs and talk with the street guys, not just the employment recruiters who will lie to you…. I started at 42k in 2016. I just left my agency in northern Virginia after 5 years, and although I was making 72k base pay, and my husband (9 years) is making close to $80k base pay and with OT we were both making close to $115k annually- the corruption and the promotions NOT based on experience or years- was infuriating. These agencies here view their people as puppets and you don’t do or go anywhere unless it fits their narrative. They hire inept and useless mouth breathers and expect you to be comfortable with them having your back on the roads. The command staff have no knowledge of case law and command the SGT’s and LT’s to view your body camera to purposely write you up for dumb stuff. They refuse to pursue or chase due to fear of public backlash- even if a violent felony. I don’t know what agencies are worth working for anymore- but stay FAR away from anywhere in northern Virginia. Plus it’s stupid expensive to live here.
Tribal Officer 95k plus bonus over 10%
In certain ny departments you can hit $200k with alot of overtime
72k here in Western Colorado!
Starting $50k for most cities with above 60k population and up in Missouri
Starting here is 24 an hour
