Do they get back to all the people that have applied with a confirmation or rejection? Overall, how long does it take for a WV recruiter to tell you that you might be moving on to the next phase (interview) of recruiting?

If you are fresher, go for a WF Office setup. You will learn things beyond your work. In the initial phase of of your career, one needs to focus more on learning than on comfort. The interactions at office, meeting with collegues, conversations at the cafeteria, sense of responsibilty, the need to walk up on time to reach office etc will shape you for better.

Once you have a work experience of few year then any setup is fine. Go for WFH.
