Hello fellow Fishes I have an offer from persistent. Need some clarity on same. I want to know the grade system in persistent. What does 7.1 mean? Is 7.1 a right fit for an total experience of 10+ years? What is the appropriate CTC for an architect designation? I want to know if I am getting it as per experience.

As already mentioned 7.1 grade means Technical Architect in technical track & Project Manager in management track. Generally, grade is recommended based on the interview and overall experience. For 10+ 7.1 or 7.3 looks to be appropriate. Unfortunately expected CTC depends on current CTC and how desperately they want to get you in.
I think individual performance pay is paid monthly unless you are put in PIP. Certain percentage of Company performance pay is paid monthly and arrears paid yearly. Generally, Persistent pays good percentage of variable pay. Having said this it might be better to get this clarified with recruiter.
I am not sure about the relationship between grading system and YOE, as there are people here with 15 years experience with grade 7.x and some folks with 7 years experience with grade 9.x. It depends on the requirements and performance. But I think for 10+ exp it should be 9.x. Hope that helps.
Thanks for your response.
Does this grade system depends on the skills and CTC being offered? How come a person with 15+ years have 7.x and another person with 7-8 years get 9.x?
Unable to understand. In most of the organization's grade system is based on the YOE.
Looks like that's not the case with Persistent.
7.1 is technical architect in technical track or project manager with PMP cert
There is no 7.2
7.3 is senior architect or senior pm
9.1 is principal architect or solution architect.. I don't know anyone with lesser than 15yoe at this level. Role is similar to an account manager for a DU.
how much is variable pay for 7.1 Architect role.
