Hi all,
I’m looking to relocate to Seattle. Does anyone know if any of the Big 4 are still recruiting campus hires to start in Summer/Fall 2023? I’m open to either Audit or Tax, but I have internship experience in Tax.
I applied and received an offer at a Big 4 in San Francisco (campus hire), but I’ve decided Seattle is the better fit for me as it will be closer to my hometown and family in Vancouver.
Thanks!

Don’t be shy… network with the people who spoke well of you for leads and or introductions.

Would you say networking in person is more beneficial? I feel like I’ve done a toneee of networking, people will say they will connect me or help me on some level because they believe In me and like my work - and then they ghost me
Hiring budgets are really tight right now so don’t take it as a diss to you. Layoffs/cut backs are happening all over. Stay in touch with them but be open to any design internship/positions at any type of agency (media, tech, pharma, in-house). Grind and don’t give up.
Thanks for these comments they definitely help me feel better about the situation! Also, how would you recommend someone get into freelancing ? Is it just word of mouth ?
I think you should start by listening your name right here. We got people that will look very closely at your profile and résumé
First off, I'm sorry that they are unable to hire you at your current agency as its easier to get a full time position through an internship. If you have the capacity/time, it may also help you by finding another internship position if necessary to gain some further experience. Additionally, I also recommend taking ANY available job in an agency and working your way up. By being hired outside of your job goal, you can move up within the agency or apply the experience to get a full time job somewhere else. If you end up doing this, I also recommend showcasing your talent and work ethic and become friends with the department you want to work with. Additionally, if you are interested in copywriting or graphic design, it could also benefit you to do freelance work as a way build your portfolio.
Thank you so much for the advice. It means a lot. Definitely will consider doing another internship. For the advice about “ trying another position” what would you say is a position an art direction focused person could do that could help them get in the door?
I think Cashmere is hiring. But connect with everyone, ask for LinkedIn recommendations on your page, see if they are connected to other agencies hiring and ask for them to connect you. The best way in another agency is through their network.
