Hey. Was hoping for some insight.

Looking to obtain a role at EY (Senior Exec - Financial Modelling). Currently a Financial Advisor and prior to this had 2 years experience as Financial Analyst. I’m more than confident in my ability to do the role but I just wanted advice on how to get the interview in the first place?

I also currently do not hold ACA/ACCA qualification, is this something EY would sponsor?

Do others feel lonely in their roles? I moved in-house from a firm a few months ago, and while I recognize that the virtual nature of the work is a huge factor (I haven’t yet met my coworkers, so it’s harder to make friends), I also am in a small legal department where everyone is far more senior than me, so I don’t have any camaraderie. I’m glad to not only be working with lawyers (like at my firm), but I do miss the ease of having peers with whom I could easily make friends and chat.

Any recommendations for industries and roles where you are required to travel for periods of time across USA or internationally? For example, I worked at a trade show company (before CoVID event industry layoffs) and loved the balance of office & show travel. Sanity check. I like a nice lifestyle. Currently make 350-550k with bonus. 53 years old. About 400k in brokerage. Another 1.9million in retirement accounts. House worth 1.2 million with loan of 625k.
