Hard skills get you in the door, but soft skills often keep you in the room. If you're trimming down, I’d lead with measurable, role-relevant hard skills—but don’t underestimate a single strong line that shows collaboration, leadership, or influence. What kind of role are you targeting?
I’d say your hard skills are more important when deciding what to cut from your resume. But like the person above said, both hard and soft skills matter. If you’re unsure what to remove, you might consider having your resume professionally optimized—that’s something I did, and it really helped me.
That's very interesting! Can you tell more about how it went with professionally optimized resume? What did they change and was it a platform or a freelance?
Hard skills usually get you through the first screening. Soft skills help once you’re in interviews. Keep the resume focused on measurable skills and results, then let soft skills show through your experience and impact.
