Why are engineers so difficult to recruit? Sometimes they make me feel stupid lol.

Because
1) most engineers are fed up by recruiters that do not understand what they do.
2) they are being approached by multiple recruiters a day
3) most recruiters send terrible messages

When you get on a call, be real with them. Tell them you’re not the subject matter experts. So why go analytical? When they get to the tech screen that’s when they can show off. If you have an engineer that’s a dick hang up. You don’t need that negative energy in your company.

Hi All, I have been working fulltime for 6 years and have been consulting on the side for a year. Last month was a great month for me where I generated the highest revenue until now. I realized that I am ready to grow my business and find more clients so that I can eventually quit my fulltime job. I am very new to this and have never even pitched before. I want to learn all of it to expand my business. Does anyone have any tips how I can get started?

Would anyone know of any companies actively recruiting for remote positions with a soon-ish start date?

I'm nearing my 5th month of being laid off and haven't had any luck after the 100+ applications I've submitted.

Panic is starting to set in as I'll no longer be able to financially support myself in the very near future :(

Is there anywhere we can check late timesheet submission report in Deloitte india.

Need some advise! When I get asked what salary range a role is, I honestly don’t know how to answer. How we hire is based upon the interview process and tech screen. I’ve been telling candidates “the starting base for this role is x but is dependent on the interview” obviously they think what I’ve provided is what they’ll get. But that’s not the case - it’s more of you’ll get offered nothing less than x. I need help englishing to make it clear to candidates 🥲 TIA!

Do you look desperate if you apply to several jobs within the same company? I was recently rejected for a job I REALLY wanted at a well known tech company. But will I just look too desperate to their in-house talent team to be considered?

Hi y’all! Hope this is the right bowl to post this question and get advice. I am dealing with an employer that preaches our values. The owner states that the values are important to her etc yet my manager violates these values and is involved in unethical behavior frequently. Example 1: My manager has told specialists (resourcers) that she will pay them under the table in order for her (manager) to get full credit vs splitfor the placement and therefore (barely) hit her target for the quarter.
