Hey y’all. Does RSMs 401k plan allow after tax contributions and in-service withdrawals? Anyone doing mega back door ira?

23 M in Chicago. Have 20% contribution going to 401k but thinking about splitting between Roth 401k and my traditional 401k. For those that have both, how do you split the contributions? 50/50?

My mind keeps running around in circles about this job. I’ve always said that so far the benefits of the job have far outweighed the inconveniences, but the equation has now drastically changed...

Is the retrial and benefits section of the salary counted under fixed pay?

What’s your PTO like? I just started a new position with a $25k increase in salary from my previous role, great benefits (besides PTO), and a good environment …. But I start with 0 hours of PTO and accrue up to 12 days over the course of a year. Am I crazy or is this terrible for a tech position? My previous role, which I hated, had unlimited PTO which we were encouraged to use.

How much weight do you put in 401k and health care in reviewing offers? Is it as simple as calculating how much you would pay for Healthcare and how much 401k matching is there and sum it all up and compare the monetary value? Or there's more to it?
