Yes. Now a days companies checking UAN history. Caught hold of many such undisclosed companies. How they handle post detection is individual company policy decision.
Hi! No one can check your UAN without your consent. Companies generally don’t ask for this. I’ve not come across anyone asking for these details.
In case a future company asks for these, do not work with them as they’ll only get more and intrusive.
I have the same issue with my ex employer, I have worked for three months and I haven't got fnf statment by the time of exit. After 4 yrs I got fnf statment with negative balance for unserved notice period. I am willing to clear the negative dues but the HR team from Omega healthcare say that there is no option to clear the dues. Now I am unable to get a job because of this three months.
Can someone advise me on this???
For those 2 months is there any epf entry in UAN ?
One of my friends working with Coforge(joined June’21) got an email from them almost after a year (april’22) after their Audit completed that they suspected him of moonlighting since they checked his UAN and found epf entries from the previous org that he absconded(accolite) since the date of exit was not present with the epf account linked.
While filling BGV form you give employer to conduct your BGV, n yes they check ur UAN to know your employment history if UAN details are provided.
does BGV team contact previous employers or using consent will check the previous employment by UAN or PF verification

Don’t spread misinformation when you are not aware of how things work in IT.
I have joined and left 2 companies in very short duration. Hence I have not mentioned those two companies in my resume. I dint absconded from these companies. I resigned and left. But it's less than a week duration. so they are not ready to give me relieving letters.
In PWC and cognizant they asked me to show my PF service history and they got to know about these two companies. Then they declared my BGV as failed. Still I am unemployed from past 2 years due to this issue. Don't know how to survive in this corporate world. Most of the interview calls I get are from mncs.
So I can't attend any MNC interviews because of this and my career gap is increasing.

Here's my current update got selected in MNC , they found via bgv verification epf work history shows all the entries and one entry was not disclosed in my profile, so they marked red flag on my bgv and asked justification. Lucky no overlapping exit date was already updated before joining the current company(Hexaware). They asked offer letter and reliving letter from that company which I was absconded with justification for not disclosing , I provided offer letter and termination letter for abscond (Not having reliving letter ) and justification as due to health issue and medical emergency, they accepted after taking NDA sign from me. lucks favours me I believe... Initially attended the client interview got selected and they shared my profile to this MNC company might be the reason they accepted me.
I am also in same situation , i have left within 10 days in one of my past company and i have set the exit date without overlapping with my current company, when the bhv happend in hexaware? Before joining or after joining?

Today hexaware rejected me because of same issue
They find it via UAN. They can track pf account date of account creation and date of exit. If let’s say you absconded your previous org then they will not update the date of exit on your pf account that the company created for you which is linked linked to your UAN. Now the current employer will see the UAN-PF account record and find out that previous org has not yet provided date of exit and hence current org cannot create a PF account for you due to an overlap. Basically the current org ensures that your previous org has provided a date of exit on your last pf account so that the current org can crate a fresh pf account for you. Since no date of exit on previous pf account hence new pf account cannot be created therefore this overlap needs to be resolved first.
