I currently work as a optician, referral coordinator and optometry technician. Busting my butt off wearing all 3 hats and I get paid $20 an hour… I don’t think this is a fare wage considering I’m doing the job of 3 people. I want to negotiate a higher wage any tips of what I should ask for?

I have been offered a position at a non-US B4 with a 2 year path to partner. I know one of the partners at the local firm and have the support of the regional service line lead, and am bringing a specialized skill set they are trying to open a new business around. The KPIs seem achievable and I’ll be in charm school to help build support within that timeline. Most of me thinks a 2 year path under these circumstances realistic but my inner skeptic is jaded. I applied for a lateral job in a growing group that doesn’t have associates yet. I talked to a sr. associate in a different office/group to get a better sense of the firm’s vibe and we both really enjoyed our call. He kindly offered to recommend an interview to HR. Is there anything else I can do? I would be switching practices altogether so I want to be as proactive as possible to know what I’m getting myself into (and make my app more favorable because I really want to break into the field).
