Is your firm treating 12/26 and 12/27 as firm holiday since the 24th and the 25th are during the weekend this year? Of course client demands would dictate whether people will be working, but curious what the official policy is. For what it’s worth, my firm treated the day after thanksgiving as holiday and I didn’t have to work for the whole day.

I received an offer for 80k to work as a desktop engineer for TCS at one of their client’s locations. However, I have seen poor reviews for working at TCS and I’d like to get some feedback from anyone currently or had previously worked for that company. For those of you on medication, how do you manage delayed flights causing you to miss appointments? Often, cancellation policies are strict, expensive, and require several days notice.

I'm feeling incredibly anxious and honestly depressed right now because of work. I had already been feeling demotivated and wanting to leave but I was told on Monday that I was being out on probation for one year (I am not going into detail on this). And now my manager is pressing me about finding a new project role as I have been on the bench for more than a month, and one possible one may require travel. I just want to get out of my job now and hear back from the 10+ applications I have now.

I'll be 40 in five short years. I still feel like late 20s in my mind. I feel like a kid who just got into college. I feel like I just completed my first job interview. It's almost two decades since? Life is slipping away. Here I am chasing weekends, dreading every weekday hoping not to drop anything living the perfect work life and being successful in my tiny bubble. I lost my father at his 54th. That gives me less than 20.

What's happening to me? What's the point of my life?
