I’ve been working for a company for 25yrs, looking for advancement. I’m considered an SME, managing people, Vendors and working on large system conversions. Have provided long term goals. When requesting feedback I’m told I’m on the right path, no suggestions on what to improve. I asked about timelines for advancement and not being given anything concrete. Recently received offer from Oracle Solution Services India Private Limited and base location mentioned is Bangalore. Just was curious to know whether we have to go to office physically for the joining or we can join virtually as I am not in Bangalore. For the people who went back to school to pursue a totally different career, what did you do for work? I don’t think I’d be able to do both my current job and school. I did retail in college and that probably isn’t so smart right now. Neither is working at a restaurant. I don’t think I can go back and live with my parents. I feel like I’m stuck.

I’m an accounting advisory M2 in Los Angeles and hoping to find a position around $150k in industry. However a recruiter said that’s too high and I should be looking more around $130-140k, I can’t tell though if she’s being honest or just hoping I’ll take a smaller salary so that she can get an easier commission. Received a job offer. Was wondering if anyone had any thoughts on a concern I had about it. It's an entry level position, and I don't have much experience. The billables are 2040 a year. For billable hours in civil litigation and insurance defense, is 2040 hours for a 1st year associate on the high end in this field for a small or midsize firm? It seems like most attorneys I know have minimum requirements of around 1800. The compensation is around 80k a year.

Is anyone aware of a tax software (e.g., TurboTax) for preparing a form 706? For personal use, so cannot be a commercial license only product.

Lateraled into banking and I'm getting killed. My aso will mention to do stuff as he's walking out, says do this this and this and by the time I process what he said he's out the door then I miss something he's like I told you to do it.
