Advice I will give you is that you should have started figuring this out before the end of your apprenticeship so that you can prepare yourself for what’s to come.
Now that we are here, I will share figure out the types of communications jobs you want to have, what industry you wanna work in and start hitting the job boards. Start to narrow down where you wanna go and if you are able to get LinkedIn a premium so after you apply you can reach out to that job poster or the manager of that to get connected.
I will also ask the company you just interned at to see if they can not only give you a recommendation but connect you to colleagues that have in the same field.
I got all of my jobs asking people to meet with me for 10 minutes saying I was super interested in the company and their work background. Then I brought a resume and portfolio and pitched how hard I would work. Bam! Job achieved. In fact I’ve gotten my first four jobs this way when I graduated. Get in there and don’t be afraid.
