Our company used to have employees only based in one single country that was used to taking vacation and having sick leave one way. Over the past year, we've hired in multiple other countries, and it's clear top management was under the impression that the newcomers would "adapt", which is making them unhappy. We then made a new policy to do vacation and sick leave based on the country the employee lives (fail).How have you reconciled international hires with uniform company policies?

Has anyone considered making the move to the corporate world? I work in admin for my nonprofit right now so I make a decent amount (53k) my benefits are unbeatable. PTO & sick time PLUS self care days. Flexibility. Etc. the one thing we’re lacking is structure and honestly im burnt out and overwhelmed with my work load and I know I could be getting paid around 10-15k more for similar work. Anyone gone to corporate and regretted it? Loved it?

They moved from 205 to 210 but that 230 is not possible even tho posted salary range was up to 233k

AWS lowballed but I negotiated to match Cloudflare. Cloudflare offers more equity but AWS has a higher base.

I love Cloudflare. The people are great but it’s an engineering culture and the sales team isn’t as well shaped up and I can’t go for a promotion until at least 18 months of tenure. I am an investor in the company and think of them super highly. I’ve already got half a years SDR experience and AWS promotes quicker.
