I got a remote L6 SWE offer at Google but the RSUs are too low for that level ($625k over 4 years), could not negotiate it higher. I’ve accepted the offer but trying to be hopeful that I could make it more equitable in the future if I perform well. As u have just 2.5yrs of exp why worry abt wlb? It’s time to learn so choose the company based on who will give u an opportunity to learn on many new technologies. Think abt wlb after 8-10yoe. Till then try to get hands in as many tech u can n boost ur resume and keep switching every 2 yrs

Once I thought the same way, but ending up in a bad project changed my life. The overwork did permanent mental and physical damage to me when I had only 1 year experience. 8 years later I am still paying the price.
For hike you should get atleast 40-50% from your current CTC

U cannot be sure until u work in any project how the project is. Being in tcs where they say wlb is good I have been tortured like hell for 2 yrs in one of my projects every weekend I have worked n every day 12hrs was min so it really depends on project and u will not be site untill u start working thr.
Can you please share details of your tech stack for which PS offered you this ctc. Asking because I am waiting for HR discussion in PS for 2.7 years dotnet stack. So will get a perspective as in how much should I ask for. Also did you had counter offer, If yes how much and from which company?
