Hi Fishes,
I recently got an offer for Cyber security advisory at PwC India . They gave a 20% hike on the current amount. Thing is that l, the technical interview told me that it is not a software/coding type of position and asked me multiple times if I was interested to do that. Is that a red flag?

In my personal opinion, I don't think so. There's great food here, good places to visit, and cheaper health care. In case of an emergency it's easier to do domestic travel and take care of family. For me that's all I care about 😂
Ofcourse everyone will have their reasons to go abroad.
It seems you've already made up your mind. And you are just trying to validate your thoughts here 💭
The issues you're talking about are collective issues that we as a nation have to solve. It'll take time to solve these for sure.
If you have funds to escape to wonderland... Why not 🌝✈️
😉 so enjoy your stay abroad.
Do take the PPP into consideration. Many a times you live a lavish life here but end up struggling there. Offer has to be too good to resist.
Corruption har jagah hai. Some show some dont.
Pollution ke case hai thoda ...... But some states arent that polluted. Maybe relocating within India might help?
If I were you, I would go for it. Indian culture and social norms prevent one from doing many things that would be common in the west. You can't go to strip clubs in India lol.
Anyways, will be moving with my wife , so cannot go to strip clubs there 🤪
If your household salary is 3 LPM, it's the best option to stay in India and have a luxurious life here rather than spending your life in Western countries by leaving so many benefits in India.
Related to your point of corruption, be honest on how many scenarios you are bribing others. As an IT software person, we will rarely go to any government sector offices to make our things done. So you can rule out that reason to some extent.
2. Pollution & Traffic - Pollution is there across India and in some states it's very high. If pollution is a major concern, there are very good places to relocate within India to Tier 2 cities to avoid heavy pollution. If you do so to move Tier cities, you can avoid pollution and traffic to some extent. However, you might miss the city & night culture, good schooling, medical facilities etc.
3.Finally monetary benefits - Rather than spending your life in Western countries by saving 2-3 LPM, it's better to stay in India with family n indian culture by saving 1.5-2 LPM.
It varies from person to person.
Population - Not sure how the population is impacting your day to day life. That should not be any concern I feel.
Water shortage - All metro cities facing water shortage due to industrial development. However a couple of metro cities don't face any water shortage for daily life such as Hyderabad, Kochi, Kolakata. Some places of bangalore also have no shortage of water. Not pretty sure about Mumbai, Delhi, etc.

Good: better quality of life, clean roads, well maintained National parks, less pollution, no power cuts, no water shortage, easy process if have to deal with govt agency for anything, smooth traffic, experience cultural diversity, kids education opportunities.
Issues/ things to deal with: away from home & parents, friends, expensive healthcare cost.
