I have 15 years across industries, indirect consulting experience. I’m excited about strategy, data, product/markets. I’m a working mom, who recently completed an MBA. I am scheduled to begin Google Data Analytics Certification this month. As an immigrant I have been working non stop to educate myself and keep growing. We don’t all have the same starting points, or networks so I would appreciate your guidance. Thank you:)

Have you had to change your start date after accepting an offer and how did it go? I told them I need to give 30 day notice and so I set my start date (incorrectly) assuming the background check and drug screen would take a few days to clear. However, the drug screen is now taking over a week and a half (still not finished, maybe tomorrow). Apparently things are much slower due to staffing issues and labs are backed up. It’s cutting into my 30 day notice significantly. Thoughts?
