Studied accounting and finance but worried about the future of this profession. Currently working in Forensic Consulting but want to leave. Should I go back to undergrad and get a computer science degree? I honestly want a career where I could at least potentially make 600 k per year. I feel in accounting it’s near impossible. Additionally, I’m sick of people looking down on me. My gf is getting a PhD in a social science and gets way more respect then me. I am 25 also. HELP

I'm having two 2nd-to-last rounds for non-G FAANGs this week, but I haven't heard if/when I am advancing in interviews for 2 different roles at G that I last interviewed or phone screened for 2 weeks ago. Client recently offered me a job for an open req (industry eq SM). The work is flexible, the req is just to get me in the door but I decide what I want to work on (which I trust to be true). Much better culture, wlb, etc., but I’d be taking a 100k pay cut and be an IC with no team. Is it worth taking a step back in pay and responsibilities, or does it seem possible to get all in one?

Is front end web dev a lucrative career choice? just got a full time graphic design job. is there any reason why using the work-provided adobe creative cloud account for personal use is a bad idea? like privacy or something? i’m thinking of canceling my personal subscription and saving some money.

I started a new job just 7 weeks ago, but an opportunity for a dream job just suddenly and unexpectedly fell into my lap! It’s a lot more money, more aligned with my career goals, and will have better work life balance. I’d be an idiot to not take this great new opportunity! That being said… I’m going to feel bad leaving this new job so soon. I’m sure they’ll be disappointed and maybe even angry… is there any way to NOT burn bridges on my way out of this current job?

I started out as a graphic designer. Worked for about 4yrs in different roles. Then i started a digital design role for 2 yrs and then made my transition into ux. i have been in a ux role for 5 years. But i want to steer my career towards something more creative. Like in 5-10 years I wouldn’t want to be a specialist or a ux director. I d like to be an art director or creative director. I love branding & marketing but also product. Would love something that allows me to do both?

Question! I just moved(transferred) to another team of my company and received new title, graphic & creative services. I was a senior graphic designer at the previous team. What do you think about my new title? I know that title is not a big thing but why I feel like my title is downgraded here… Good thing is my jobs here at my current team are what I really wanted to do. This is amazing. When you get stuck on a design or when you are starting a big project, what are your creative processes? Do you look at colors? inspiration? Pen and paper? Illustrate something? Want to work with my designer on a toolbox of steps to pick from to find what works best for their individual creative process? I know my creative process is look at inspiration, pen and paper, then start designing, but I don’t want to assume that’s theirs too.

Any XD leads here that work at Accenture Interactive or EY Design Studio?

Is $90k - $100k a reasonable salary range for a senior visual designer with 9 years of experience at a tech company? I’m seeing a lot of varying numbers, and trying to consider inflation as a possibility.
