entrepreneur by night - I run a couple of side businesses to build additional income streams outside my 9-5 since this crazy economy has made a single income almost unsurvivable.

Has anyone rented office space over the last year so that you didn't have to be stuck in your home all day? Was it worth it, or did you just feel lonely there?

I'm a fresh grad and I thought this would be my dream job... I became the 3rd team member in this location and the regional team leader helped me understand and learned a lot... Until about 4 months down the line, he announced to quit. It's about half of year now since I started to feel ever so alone, hopeless and helpless in the team. The actual work is within my capability, but takes me ages to learn coz the overall team is not so collaborative and lacks communication... Maybe I need anew job

I’m currently interviewing with a few top 10 firms and a couple top 100 firms for a mostly remote experienced associate/new senior role. Does anyone have any tips on virtual interviews and how to gauge the culture of the firm and if it really will be a good fit for you? I’m struggling to figure out that out because I used to gauge it on the feeling I got while in their office during interviews. Any suggestions would be helpful :)

How valid do you think a Myers briggs test is for determining if a career pivot is the right move. I recently took one and the career suggestions from the results seemed to be things I was already thinking about doing anyway which was a pleasant surprise.

Pivoting away from Sales: I’ve been in sales positions for 15 years, and I’m just exhausted by the role (disputing commissions, arguing about deals, all of it). I have a degree in marketing, but I am having a hard time landing interviews since I’ve never had a strictly marketing only role. I have an informational interview with a director of a consulting firm. I’m currently in banking. It’s just been 6 months at this job for me. It’s too slow for me. Any resume writer referrals? I’m trying to make the jump into project management. I have 13YOE managing cross-departmental projects and people, and I’d like to shed the general EA work of calendars/travel/expenses. But recruiters just see my most recent role is EA and that’s all they want to talk to me about. I’m hoping a better written resume will help target algorithms to get my resume viewed for other roles.

Do you continue to see in-flight interview processes through once you’ve received and accepted an offer? It feels premature to cut the chord on the others, but also the decision between the companies becomes harder. Also afraid of the possibility to go back on the acceptance of the one role in favor of another.

Been in consumer insights all my work life (10 years) and considering pivoting to product or product marketing manager roles. Yet I have had some interesting convos for people manager roles in insights recently and wondering if I should maybe refocus my efforts there. I’m looking for a broader mandate than just my immediate pipeline. I have been enjoying insights but grow frustrated by the lack of decision-making power. I rather would want to take a path with high long term career potential.

Leaving my current job for a career pivot. Current job has been challenging to say the least and senior management never hears what others have to say. Employment is an at will state.
Senior leadership is so unforgiving that I fear by giving notice, I’ll be asked to leave and lose out on two weeks pay.
Thoughts and feedback on not giving notice or reducing the typical two weeks?

Anyone know any companies or know of anyone that had no direct experience but was hired as a product manager? I have a background in marketing and some technical skills but I have no product experience. I want to pivot from marketing/operations to a product manager role.

Why would recruiters reach out to me, say they want to talk, then not follow up? Should I call them instead?
