Hi Everyone! It’s almost the end of the year and I decided that it’s time for a change in my career. I have been working as a business analyst at JNJ, with about 4 years of experience and halfway done with my MBA. I would like to move into a project management role (I have worked on my scrum master certification). I make about 68k a year and I feel like I’m due for a huge pay raise. I have been asking 105k-120k which companies have been open to. Am I asking for the appropriate amount?

I got interviewed at KPMG and got positive feedback. I am offered consultant position and was asked to share my documents with expected salary. It has been 3 days now and no has called me negotiation any further. Is it normal that it may take this much time or is it possible they can close the position internally without giving me an offer letter?

What is your best advice for moving into data science without going back to school for a masters?

Looking for some advice. Second year associate at firm of 25ish attorneys in the Midwest. Looking to make a move and have an attractive offer from a small firm of 6 attorneys. Why is education deemed more valuable on a pay scale than experience? Employers will pay someone with a degree and no experience a greater salary, than someone who has exhibited the experience. Understanding that the degreed person committed to school and finished, yet that doesn't diminish what the not degreed has committed to and accomplished in their careers. This has to stop!

- based in the UK
- opportunity for lateral internal move (culture&engagement) or stay where I am (reward). I am mid level IC struggling to progress due to flat structure so considering lateral move then hopefully up from there.
- 2 primary aged children, currently have flexibility in current/new role too
- Husband just got accepted on a international rotation which means I will be single parent for the short term.

What to do? Go with the unknown or coast comfortably?

Hi Everyone, Started my career in government 5 years ago working in an operational role, then focussed on HR for 3 years working my way up to a middle manager role in HR as a business partner and completed my Level 7 CIPD. I don’t think HR or government is for me anymore and looking to find something new, now 24 feel I have a lot of transferable skills and knowledge but worried about private companies in other professions taking me seriously.
