I’ve been in Ind'l sales (mostly steel) for 25 yrs on the Gulf Coast (Louisiana). I’ve been looking since Dec. and filled out 100's of app. with no luck. . I’ve been doing a couple commission- gigs, but I really need something steady.
I’m 56 , and honestly,starting to get pretty concerned. Any advice , I’d be so grateful for any leads or connections and maybe even a career change .

Ugh I wanted to take my son to see a UFC match in person. Just so happens there is one in November at Madison Square Garden - great right! I knew the tickets would be expensive, was willing to pay $400 to $500 a ticket as long as they were decent. The cheapest ticket in the whole arena, basically top row so you can’t see crap, is $506 before you start with the fees!!! Am I wrong or is that just bananas???? Oh well, pay per view it is, maybe have some friends over. Just complaining… happy Friday!

I had a job interview for a role that I really want. The hiring manager scheduled me for an interview and did not show up. Emailed me an hour later stating that he got super busy and couldn’t attend, and would like to reschedule. “Job hopper” and “quiet quitting” are all schemes made up by boomers to make you think everything is the employees fault. When in reality people are just getting out of bad situations. Older companies do whatever they can to pay you the least amount and get the max work out of you. Except our generation will just leave amid we’re being mistreated, not complain for 35 years making 50k and 0 advancement.
