Hi Everyone, I have been an HR Generalist for close to 7 years. I had good managers and poor managers in between. My VP once told me not to pursue my MBA because she would teach me everything she knew. She never did. I am currently going for my SHRM SCP. I really enjoy being a Generalist but I don’t know if I want to be an HR Manager. Any suggestions on other areas of HR I should consider?

Has anyone determined how to calculate cost per hire for your organization? I understand you need to add up all of your external cost / by your number of hires. My confusion is if you have LInkeldn for your corporate roles and Indeed for Hourly how can you use the total cost of the expense if the platform is not used equally.

Hello everyone! I am looking for advice. I am a C&B Team lead ( about 15 years of experience) but all my experience was in Russia. Now I got married and moved to UK , plus we have got a baby in 2019 so now I am looking for a job in UK having 3 years of career break. Although, I am getting CIPD lvl 7 diploma this year. I am not ready for team leader's role now . So my question is about HR area, where could I find a job with my only Russian experience? HR generalist, C&B analyst, HR BP, recruiter?

A few days ago I was offered a role for a recruiter with a company. Benefits, PTO, pay is decent, enough to get me by. I accepted today because it was the final day to do so. I was then called by a recruiter for another company, in which they made me a better offer for a Generalist and I want to take this one. What do I do? I didn’t sign a contract, there’s no clause that states I need to take the position.

Any system admins or related, I’d love some advice. I’m currently an HR Recruiting Coordinator and looking to move to the systems side of HR. Ideally hoping to become a Systems Admin in a few years. Our company uses UKG so I’m doing trainings in that system in my free time. I want a new role in HRIS but I’m having a hard time finding anything with my lack of HRIS background. I have two questions. I have 10 years of experience in multiple sectors and I have been trying to gain a leadership position. I am attempting my PHR this summer but what are some tips in order for me to obtain a leadership position? Also, how long does it take to obtain another position out of state? I am trying to move to Houston but I don’t want to move until I am confident I can obtain a position in the city before packing up and leaving.

I am the only person that makes up our Recruiting team, for 3 years now— with 50 locations, 100+ ads on a monthly basis, 20+ new hire full cycle onboarding weekly— all done by me alone. I’m still making less than $50k a year. I’ve done SO much to help streamline the hiring process, saving time and money for the company, and myself. I need more than the 5% raise I was promised. How do I respectfully ask for that at my review? (mind you this increase would still have me below $50k annually)..
