The HireRight portal now shows:

"This employment screening request is no longer available. Please contact Optum Global Solutions (India) Private Limited for next steps."

HR mentioned the verification is still underway.

Has anyone seen this message before? What was the outcome in your case?

Subject matter expert with my CPA. I’m completely fed up with the compliance aspect of public accounting Tax but don’t mind the technical side. Does it make sense to become an attorney to get out of compliance work and still do something related to specialty tax?
Or do I just go the college professor route? Wouldn’t mind working @ BNA or something like that either but I’m seriously fed up with everything about tax compliance and can’t keep doing this

Hi! I got an offer with Standard Chartered India. What does Grade 7 Band 7 mean? and I got a role as Specialist, Product engineer. Is this equivalent to senior software engineer ? Or relevant to manager? What is senior engineer is know in SCB?

Networking question here. A retired partner at the firm I used to work out reached out to me recently about attending an afternoon during the week (b4 4/30) with one of his long time clients. The partner and I have kept in touch since I joined my new firm and I feel like his invitation is a great networking opportunity since the client (who I have worked with before) is on a number of boards.
