A) no professional graphic designer uses Canva. Canva is what was created for nondesigners/one of many things devaluing the industry/reducing it to a: ANYONE CAN BE A DESIGNER! SEE! sorta thing. That said, concentrate on theory/principles while getting to know Adobe well.
B) Nobody is really an AI designer. AI is just a tool/should be used as such. Is like saying you want to be great carpenter that builds with a hammer. Adobe has some great integrations but there's also third party apps. Both have similar structures/would just learn the basics.
I agree with the previous comment. It sounds like you’re more a content creator than a graphic designer. Content creators use what already exists while graphic designers create content usually from scratch or will know how to use simple elements, building it, and create something new (completely transforming the elements). I would look into Photoshop, Illustrator, and even Procreate to at least obtain skill sets to create something new/or manipulate designs where you’re transforming/building the actual designs and not using what already exist.
